Pepboys Automotive Store
Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing & harassment filed a false police report Warminste

My name is Mr. Lee and I am the owner of a 1996 Chevrolet
Tahoe, Pa.

On August 11 I had taken my vehicle, mentioned above into Pep Boys Store #0380 to get a Pennsylvania State and Emissions Inspection done.

I spoke to a Black Male name unknown because he was not wearing his name tag, when noticed by me, he asked me what could he do for me.

Then I explained what I wanted done to my vehicle, and I asked him how long would it take, to do the two inspections, and he stated he did not know but when I signed the work order I noticed that he had typed 5:00P.M.in the time and date box.

Then when I questioned the time, he replied by saying he would get to my vehicle when he can.

Mr. Lee was not satisfied with the answer that I had gotten but I allowed myself to be flexible to wait so that my vehicle could be inspected, until I noticed a Green Dodge 4X4 Pick-Up drove up with people in it, and the people had gotten out, of their truck, which was inspected and completed before my 1996 Chevrolet was brought in to be worked on.

Once my vehicle did come in to be worked on the mechanic was very rude because he had taken off the right rear wheel, and thrown it to the garage floor then he pulled off the brake drum to, and commented by saying out loud, that the brakes were out of adjustment, then he took a pair of pliers, and started tightening up the brakes so tight that the vehicle had a bad drag to it and a strong odor was smelt coming from the wheel while being driven.

After taking my vehicle to a second PepBoys to be re-inspected the next day, the mechanic had a difficult time getting the right rear drum off from around the brake shoes.

Next the mechanic at the first PepBoys told me to come into the garage so that he could show me, Mr. Lee where he claims that I needed a idler arm, and a rear license plate cover. Note: After taking my vehicle to another PepBoys Store #0280 on August 12 (The Next Day) my 1996 Chevrolet did not have any problems at all, with 0 discrepancies found.

As a result of being treated poorly, and harassed by the mechanic and male who originally prepared my work order, paper work I went to each of those individuals and I as a customer told them both, that I wanted them to take my vehicle out of the garage because I was not at all satisfied with the way I was being treated, and the way my vehicle was being worked on.

Then the unknown Black Male not wearing his name tag told me, Mr. Lee that I had to sign the second copy completed of the work copy, and I Mr. Lee Refused, Note: Also stating a second time I will not sign the second completed work copy because I did not fill that it was necessary, and I did not agree with what was annotated on the work order final copy.

Next the unknown male reached over the counter, and he snatched my vehicle registration and insurance card from out of my hand, in which he had already given me back, again telling me I had to sign.

I Mr. Lee attempted to retrieve my vehicle paper work from the male reaching up at his hands while he was holding the paper work, over his head. As a result of not getting my paper work (vehicle registration and insurance card) the store manager named Mr. Clancy finally came out of no where and said that I had to sign the final work order copy if I wanted to get back my vehicle, and I Mr. Lee told him, I Refused to sign but I would only pay for the inspections that were done on my 1996 Chevrolet
Tahoe.

Then I proceeded over to the cash register to pay for the work done to my vehicle, so that I could get it released to me, and the female at the cash register told me she could not except my money because I did not sign the final work order copy, then I went on to say I did not want to argue with her, and I would like her to except my money (second time repeated) so that I could leave with my vehicle.

The female then stated that she had to talk to her manager, and she hollowed over to Mr. Clancy (store manager) to ask him if he would approve of her taking my money without signing the final work order copy, and Mr. Clancy replied by telling the cashier no she was not to except my money.

As a result of the previous actions that occurred I Mr. Lee attempted to walk outside into the lot where my vehicle was moved to by the mechanic and I started to explain to my wife what had occurred, and Mr. Clancy (store manager) and the unknown male ran out into the parking lot shouting that they were going to call the police because I Mr. Lee was stealing my vehicle and they did not allow me to get it.

When the Warminster Police arrived I Mr. Lee was still on location sitting inside of my vehicle, and before interviewing Mr. Clancy (store manager) and the unknown male they stated that they were called because someone had called and said I Mr. Lee. Was going to steal my vehicle after the inspections were completed.

Then the officer asked me Mr. Lee to give him the work order and I complied in doing so and he Officer Vrderame Badge #192 took the work order and gave it back to Mr. Clancy (store manager) still un-signed. I Mr. Lee asked the officer to call for his supervisor because he attempted to try and get me to sign the work order, and I Mr. Lee told him I was refusing to sign the work copy but I was willing to pay to get my vehicle and he sided with Mr. Clancy (store Manager) and his supervisor Sgt. Romaniello who later said I was allegedly being accused for threating Mr. Clancy and the unknown male employee who also was employed by PepBoys.

I Mr. Lee do believe that because my vehicle did not have any problems wrong with it and I did not go along with what was being told to me, and not allowing the mechanic to persuade me into spending money, for repairs that were not needed, on my vehicle, the problem snow balled and got totally out of control for the parties involved and Mr. Clancy (store manager) not doing his job by putting a solution to the problem so that would not escalate further.

As a result of this problem that occurred I was taken advantage of and had to spend a additional $28.89 and in-convenienced because I refused to sign to a work order scam.

Also I was told by the Warminster Police that Mr. Clancy (store manager) did not want me back into the store because he and his staff felt threatened by me. I do know my rights as a citizen and a customer, and I do know that there appears to be some sort of money scam going on, at the Warminster Pepboys Store #0380, Located at 982 Street Road, Warminster, Pennsylvania.

I Mr. Lee request that a investigation be conducted, and the appropriate actions are taken in resolving this matter. And I do look forward in being contacted, in reference to this situation and be compensated for the money I have spent. Thank you very much for your help and cooperation.
