I took my car to the just brakes located on platte rd in colorado springs. My brakes were squeaking so while just brakes was running their $99 special, i said why not. I arrived around 7AM that morning. I was the first one there. The reaming began as i walked up to the desk. I told the mngr i was interested in the special. Well he said my car wouldnt be included in the special, because it had special hubs. He told me it would be $149.
I agreed. I waited about 30 min and the mechanic came in and was speaking softly to the mngr. He went back into the shop and the mngr informed me i needed 1 rotor, new front hardware, and my calipers neede to be rebuilt. The bill went from 149 all the way to $501.68. The mngr began assuring me that only quality work would be done on my car. I fell for it. I paid the bill and drove home. I had great brakes for a week. After a week they started making noise again. I called the store and they told me to give it at least 500 miles to brk the new parts in. I did. I took it back in and the same mngr then told me, "well, i dont think we put the right pads back on." after talking with the mechanic, the mngr informed me it was right and they just had to sand the surface of the rotors because some glaze had formed.
I took the car back and it has only gotten worse. I have put 11,000 miles on these brakes and they are terrible. I have a new sound every week. Right now it sounds like someone is holding a nail against the rotor while im driving. It only goes away when i apply firm pressure. I am in the process of trying to contact home office, but as of right now i have had no luck.
