In June me and my best friend went to have his brakes done. I suggested that he buy the brakes himself and let a trusted mechanic put them on. That way it would be cheaper and you know they would do it right. Anyway he wanted to get the best deal possible and so he decided to go to Just Brakes to have his brakes put on because they were running a $99 special. Anyway we went to just brakes here in Stockbridge Ga and they looked at the car and said that it would be at least $450 to do the brakes and that he needed his brakes flushed. They also said that he needed rodors but he just bought his rodors months earlier so that is bull. Anyway he didn't get the rodors and the total came up to over $450 and he just reluntantly paid the bill, what else can you do. Ok we leave the shop and are driving and get about 5 miles down the road and we hear a LOUD roaring noise, that scared me to death. We immediately pulled in the first mechanic shop and the mechanic took a look and said that the brakes were litteraly falling off and he said to take it back to just brakes. There is another Just Brakes that was just closer at this point and we drove there. The whole time I was praying that we would make it there safe, he should have had the car towed and charged Just Brakes for the expences. We got to the Morrow Just Brakes minutes later, the car still grinding LOUD as anything and we told them what had happened and showed them the receipt and they said they would fix it for free. We waited hours for the car to be fixed and then we drove off. After we drove away when coming to a stop or slowing down there was a whistling noise in the brakes. Not loud but noticable, so we drove back to just brakes. The guy took the car for a trest drive and said that it had nothing to do with the brakes and that it was the motor mounts. What! Motor mounts have nothing to do with the brakes and it was not there before. There was nothing we could do so we left and decided to go back to the other Just brakes and talk to someone different. That guy also test drove the car and he said that was a normal brake sound and that we would have to go by the Honda dealership and buy Honda brakes, because hondas brakes make that sound. Anyway by this time it was the end of the day so we waited until the next day to see what we was going to do. The next day we went to Auto Zone to buy some more brakes and we went to "my" mechanic, who I trust very much. They put the new brakes on and they said there was a small piece missing that Just Brakes left off when putting the brakes on and said not to ever go to Just Brakes because they have alot of custamers who get ripped off by Just Brakes. Anyway we had to pay another $300 to have the brakes put on again by my mechanic. How can this company still be in business? Since then I have seen them on Fox 5 news here in Georgia and I just keep hearing all bad things about Just Brakes. If you are trying to save money, I promice you it will be cheaper to go somewhere else. Yoy will end up having to pay $400-700 for just brakes and they say you need all this other stuff done and its not really true. Just brakes cost us a total of $750 because it had to be put on twice and put are life in terrible danger. I have had bad experiences in the past with mechanic shops and such and you have to fin one place you trust and stick with it. Even if it costs more it will save you money in the long run. I will never trust Just Brakes again and we learned a valuable lesson. This company should be took out of business for good.
