AAMCO Transmissions
"Rebuilt transmission first time, failed 5 hrs 250 miles later, rebuilt again in Summerville, S.C. Back in shop Atlantic Blvd

Transmission repair job was sublet by ALL PRO Automotive to AAMCO shop in Jacksonville. The first rebuild failed 20 miles outside of Orangeburg, S.C. Stranded in Summerville for two and a half days for transmission rebuild. Missed my Mother's funeral ceremony in Battle Creek, MI. Left Summerville with an intermittent fault. PCM module? Fault reappears in St. Mary's, GA. Transmission does not lock up in 60 mph zone. Overheats and fails. I drove it in third. Truck is back in the shop where it was rebuilt initially. Awaiting installation of a valve "that is reputed to solve the problem." Average wait time for warranty repairs is two and a half days. Manager of Jacksonvill shop completely passive. "We made a mistake." No apology, just the inconvenience of missing a day of work. The first transmission rebuild lasted 5 hours/250 miles before catastrophic failure in South Carolina.
