I ordered 3rd row seat for a client of mine from J.A.T. Design 7 months ago. Was told that if I prepaid with a check I would get free shipping (red flag should have gone up in my head). I had been told it would take 10 business days to build and ship this product. After not receiving this order I had contacted the company to find out where it was, to only be told that it should be ready soon.
Weeks had gone past and still nothing. I was actually able to contact the manufacturer that builds the seats for this company to only find out that no such order had been placed.
Once again I contaced J.A.T. Design and confronted them with this information to only be told he had placed the order. After J.A.T. Design investigated further, they had found some clerical error had occurred somewhere. J.A.T. Design informed me that they will place the order again and it should be another 10 business days to complete the order.
Time had passed again and no product. J.A.T. Design was found to be on credit hold with this manufacturer and they would not fill any furhter orders until they paid there passed due invoices.
By this time my client has given up all hope and trust in me and my business practices and demanded a refund from me as well as cancelling any other work he had scheduled. J.A.T. Design finally after next to begging canceled my order and agreed to a full refund.
Now seven months, tens of hours of phone conversations about his money problems, and numerous broken promises later, as to when I will see my refund ($1328.00). I still have not received anything other than words from this company that they intend to refund me the money that I had advanved them in full for the product that never came to fruition.
