Two and a half years ago while going my wife and I were on our way to work, a kid slammed into my wifes brand new car that I was driving and that she was in at over 55 miles an hour while talking on his cell phone.
We were stopped behind another 2005 car, as we were waiting for a truck to make a left hand turn into his place of business.
My wife told me that he was not stopping and when I looked I noticed he was talking on his phone looking to the right and did not see us.
It was not long until he hit us, pushing us into the car in front and, totaling both cars out completely.
Both my wife and I had to be transported to the hospital where we found out that my wife had broken bones in her neck, back, and right arm, and burned badly by the air bag.
I had broken bones in my neck, left arm, back, and knee damage.
We were both wearing our seat belts and, both air bags exploded.
We also now have bad credit because they refused to pay our car off and, when they did, which took months, we received nothing. We lost money.
We went to the doctors only to find out that my wife a CNA, could not return to work ever and she lost her job, as did I also.
I called Travelers to get a rent a car, but the refused to pay for it. They also have refused to pay us on a regular basis our lost wages, which has now caused us to fight to keep or home and everything we own.
They have also refused to allow my wife to go to New York and have the operations that she needs done. She is always in pain and cries from it.
I decided not to have any operations done, so I can take care of my wife if the operations are done. I am also in constant pain, but deal with it and, I too can no longer work because of the pain and because I can not at times walk well, I can not drive all the time.
We have been going to therapy since the accident and, even that has been a fight to make Travelers agree to it.
Now because they have refused to send us our checks on a regular basis, we are now losing everything we have worked for and are waiting for our cases to go to court, but I believe it will be to late.
On Travelers advertisement on television, "it says we have you covered." I want others to know that this is a bunch of bull and, if you have Travelers, you will end up losing everything and, fighting in court to get what
you should be getting and what you have paid for.
Being insured means nothing especially if you have Travelers as your insurance company.
Whatever it says in their policy is a lie. You will not get paid and you will have or rather not be given the coverage that you have paid for and, you will have to fight them in court to get it and, by that time you will have lost everything including your home.
