I cancelled my car insurance in the beginning of June. I change the policy to Geico. The Travelers policy ran until 6/24. I informed the Gieco agent of this information. They told me that their policy would be debted from my checking account on 6/20 and would over lap Travelers. I received a bill for 25.00 from Travelers stating that this was a bill for the remander of June. It seems to me this was already taken care of by Geico.
