Integrity Chrysler Dodge sold us a defective vehicle, never left there lot they refused to cancel

To Whom It May Concern,

March 7 I purchased a new 2006 Sprinter 118 Passenger Van VIN NO. WD8PD144X6591 from Integrity Chrysler Dodge in Las Vegas, a 5-star dealer?

After signing final papers in the Finance office with Kevin, he is the Finance person:
(1) I was handed 4 keys, one does not go to the van;
(2) Two key cylinders do not go to this van;
(3) No spare tire;
(4) No jack'
(5) No Marony sticker to this van
(6) No Becker Code Card to this radio
My salesman Bob said he would take care of the above issues.
(7) VTR? Kevin added to contract, never asked for this, but was advised it is mandatory on all transactions, as well as
(8) Desert Wax at $299 not asked for and not even on the van;
(9) Paint chips flaking off of front hood.
Bob Fadgen again said they would take care of the above issues.

When I drove the van off the lot, there was a loud whining noise, such as a siren sound coming from the rear of the vehicle.

I returned immediately to the dealer and complained. I spoke with someone in the dealer's office and was advised that I need to talk to Bob the salesman, but he had left already. I called him immediately on his cell phone and I told him all of the above and that I have not taken delivery of this van, it is unsafe, non-driveable and something wrong with the rear end.

I asked Bob to return to the dealer and cancel the sale. Bob said he cannot tonight and said that he would take care of this in the morning. This vehicle has not been removed from the lot.

A sales manager went out to the service department with me, where a service tech Steve and Mitch took the Sprinter van out on a test drive. When they came back, both techs said that the rear end differential was defective, may be some gears etc. They said that the Sprinter van will be in here a few days.

I was also given a due bill for the service department by Ms. Toni for the tire, jack etc. I was told they would take care of all the above issues.

I received a message on my machine by the Service Department on Monday March 12th that they have the parts in today and will be working on the Sprinter Van tomorrow. I went down to check on my vehicle and found it in there rear lot covered in mud a worker came over and said that they were jacking up and hot roding my vehicle around i complained to the sales mgr about this.

Days have past, I have left messages for the owner, Larry West and his partner Greg Bashant and the manager Robert Lanson. Never ever one returned call from day one. Many messages left for all of them.

I have called Chrysler at 800-992-1997 with no help. I have made at least 25 calls plus emails with no returned calls at all.

2 of the calls I asked for a documented reference number on 3-17-07 at 4pm. I spoke with Michelle. Reference No. 16044565. She was very nice. Michelle said she would call the dealer and find out what is going on with the Sprinter Van.

Within minutes, Michelle got back with me and said that she spoke with a sales manager by the name of Anthony. She said Anthony was very rude, insisted that they never sold Joel a Sprinter Van, Anthony said he had no clue what she is talking about and slammed the phone down on her.

Michelle said she has documented what had transpired between her and Anthony. Michelle also said during the conversation that the dealer reported the vehicle has 40 miles on the odometer which is totally false. I have an odometer statement stating 519 miles, which the finance department tried to get me to sign an odometer statement of 5 miles on this van. I did not agree to this.

The actual mileage on this vehicle is 519 miles and was corrected by Michelle. See service invoices for real mileage noted by techs. Also odometer statements signed by me.

I do not understand what the mileage issue is and I do not know why it would be falsely represented.

Also, I found out that this vehicle was at this dealer for approx. A year on this lot.

Did they sell me a used car? Did they sell me a demo? Did they sell me someone's return?

This is supposed to be a new car! This Sprinter van has many problems and issues.

Also, on 3-19-07, I spoke to Shelly at Chrysler, same reference number for status. All these calls no replies?

It is now the 19th of March. The dealer has my money, the van, 15 days and still in a 5-star dealer? This has been nothing but aggravation.

I also asked for a business link set up. I provided all licenses, documentation to Bob
with many calls to this dealer and no return calls or care from the dealer or Chrysler.

Many hours of sitting on hold with 800-4-a-dodge. All they can say is it is between you and the dealer. Many calls to Chrysler Finance for info or help concerning the loan.

Also at the dealer numerous times I was advised to bring in a survey that I will receive to the dealer to fill out for a free tank of gas and oil changes?

Update as of 3/21/07:

Late morning of 3/22/07 I spoke with Tom Connor at the dodge sprinter center I reviewed in detail all of the above mentioned issues. Tom said he will check into this matter and see what he can do for me.
Tom asked me if I wanted another vehicle or do I want out of this purchase. I told Tom that I was very upset over all of this and it has been over 2 weeks. I told Tom I do not want this vehicle at all. I never heard back from him.

About Noon on 3/22/07, I arrived at the Dealer to pick up this vehicle per a call received from Rich and Steve at the dealership to come and pick up the vehicle. I retest drove this vehicle with Rich the service writer. The same noises from rear end exist plus an additional clunking noise from the rear end now is evident. Additionally, heavy vibrations and RPMS changing in idle And other problems.

Rich advised me that all these noises are normal.

Just before leaving the dealership, I asked Rich to check the transmission oil level. They brought out the dipstick to check and amazingly the transmission oil was BONE DRY, not one bit of oil on the dipstick. Rich went back to the Service Department and brought a tech up to look. The tech Gerry looked and saw the dipstick was bone dry. They brought the vehicle immediately into the service bay and added transmission oil. THIS IS A NEW VEHICLE!

Was this a rear-end problem or a transmission problem, or do we have two problems now?

However this is, I remain disgusted. I have taken physical delivery for the first time on the 22nd of March where in fact I bought this vehicle on March 7th and at that time did not want to proceed with the purchase due to all of the above aggravation and vehicle was not safe to take off the lot.

Upon leaving the dealership today, 3/22/07, I asked for a registration extension sticker for the vehicle. They said they could not give this to me; however, they wrote up a affidavit of non-operation; whereinfact admitting this vehicle was inoperative for sale.

Additionally, I have discovered this vehicle has had previous issues at this dealership since May. The cashier at this dealership printed me a history report today on 3/22/07.

Please assist in whatever way that you can to reverse this purchase of the damaged vehicle.

This has caused me a great deal of stress and business financial loss.

Thank you.

Update as of 4-05-07 we have not had any responce from the dealer or from chrysler we traded this vehicle in at another auto dealer we took a large loss of aprox 10,000 dollars we will never buy or rent a chrysler product ever again.
