As a woman I am tired of being constantly ripped off by men mechanics. Not only are they degrading us as woman but they are also making us feel low of ourselves in a world where it is not really equal for a woman to walk
in an auto shop and get a descent car fix for the value of her money. I am a victim of being mistreated over and over by car shops and I AM TIRED. I need a voice because what I've been going through for 6 months has taken a
toll on my mental and physical needs.
Before I begin This is what you need to know is I just got a transmission job done by a previous mechanic which cost me $1200 for the transmission and than $400 for the labor. That was 2 months ago my transmission job was fine and was done by a well accredidated place.
Now My engine went out so I brought my car to Manno's auto shop on 1852 nw 29th street in fort lauderdale fl, 33311 which was nearest to where I was employed at the time, to have my engine done. He charged me $425 to put my engine in and than later charged me $260 for
parts that I still haven't got a recipt for that he said he bought. I payed him all cost.
I pick my car up Friday only to recieve my car with a dent that was never there and a missing radio. When asked the mechanic what happened he used nothing but foul language at me and hanged the phone up. The next
day I returned to file a police report only to hear that their was nothing they could do and I would have to contact Better Business Bureau or small claims court.
I drove off with my car. Only to have my car stop within two days later.
My transmission that I had done a previous time was now destroyed, destroyed by luquid flushed in it and other things done by this mechanic to damage my transmission. My engine sounded like crap all my wires that were suppose to be fixed along with the engine was loose, the spark plugs were never replaced, the items he charged me for was never bought. The knock sensors were never put in correctly in my car, my engine shaked, my transmission was now desroyed along with my engine. With a second mechanic opinion he stated the job on my car could of cost my daughter and I are lives or great damage. This mechanic Manno's auto has not done anything to fix this problem. I gave him my car with no dent and an auidio car radio input in my car and he stole it from me. I payed him to do my engine and he damaged it. Now i'm left with no transmission and no engine. When asked what happend he responded with abusive launguage and cursed me out.
I am tired of being abused and taking advantage of
when it comes to being a woman needing service done on her car.
