Firestone
Fraud. Put less than. 59% of required oil in Mercedes engine and didn't replace filter although charged for it, resulting in destroyed engine

Called Firestone and asked if they could service, change oil and filter, for a S420 Mercedes. They assured us they serviced this make often. We left manual on seat if they needed to refer to it. We picked up auto and the oil light came on. Returned auto and discoverd they put only 5 quarts in 8 1/2 quart engine. Next day the car began chattering. Took the car to Mercedes mechanic and discovered they did not replace the filter although they charged us for it. Mechanic said engine was ruined and would cost $11,200.00 to replace. A certifird Caddilac mechanic confirmed the engine was totaled. Firestone refused responsibility.
