Wednesday, February 7th 9:00am The sign outside the Citgo Gas Station on 78th Ave.in Pinellas Park, FL advertised 2.09/gallon. After I began pumping my gas I noticed that the price on the pump said I was actually paying 2.13/gallon. I was not given the option to print a receipt for my purchase and did not receive one. I went into the store to address the issue and the man at the cash register who I think is the owner, was extremely rude to me and when I told him I was going to file a complaint and report him he began making nasty and rude hand gestures and comments towards me.
I contacted the Pinellas Park police department and they referred me to the News Channel 8 On Your Side Consumer Reporting website, They agreed with me and said it is illegal to advertise one price and charge another but they did not have the phone number for the government regulations agency. I emailed the news station and thought it would be a good idea to file a rip off report so other people will know that this company does Bad Business!
