Yan advertises on craigslist as a mobile automotive mechanic and in the skilled trades section as a handyman. I called and asked him to diagnose a problem I was having with one of my vehicles. He said the problem was a bad crankshaft position sensor and it would be appx $100 for the repair. I had called on some of his references and gotten good feedback, so I advanced him the $100 and never saw him again. Poof. Gone. His phone is still active and rings when I call, but goes to vm. He has never returned the calls.
