I am a toyota owner. I first went to the jim white toyota
dealership in toledo, ohio about 5 years ago to get my brakes
checked and they charged me $50 just to adjust them. That was in
1994. I did not return there until december 1997 for an oil change.
Several days later, i decided to check my oil since i was getting ready to take a road trip. To my horror, my oil was overfilled an extra quart. This was quite upsetting since it could have damaged my seals.
I then notified this dealership who told me to take the
car back in. Their excuse was they thought my car was a '94
instead of a '95. First of all, this was a toyota dealership.
Second, all they had to do was asked me if they were not sure. To make matters worse, my oil was still 1/4 to 1/2 overfilled when i checked it upon returning home. At that point, i decided to drain the excess myself. This was pathetic since i had taken the car there for the oil change to save time. It would have been faster if i did the oil change myself. Isn't the reason why you pay more for services at a dealership is a peace of mind???
This story gets worse. Check out jim white toyota in toledo scams part 2 for what happened when i took my car in on 10-1-99.
