Sold me a vehicle with a broken gas gauge and never fixed it

I bought a 1999 Toyota 4runner in December. It was the day after Christmas and the bank was closed so the deal was not completed.

I had the car for a day and it stalled (ran out of gas). I had it towed back to the dealership. The sales manager told me they fixed the problem and lowered the price by $900. I completed the deal and finalized the purchase.

A week later the car stalled again about 40 miles outside of town and I had to get it towed back to the dealership again. The sales manager assured me it was fixed and I made him pay for the towing.

I called the mechanic the next day and asked him what was wrong with my car. He told me that the gas gauge was broken and he just put a couple of gallons of gas in.

I then called the sales manager demanding that he fix the problem and he agreed. He said it would cost him about $1000 so he would shop around for a better price.

I kept calling him and leaving messages but he always avoided me my car never got fixed.
