Wells Fargo Financial Acceptance (Auto) Continual harrassment and employees who don't know what they are doing ripoff

I financed a newer used car 2 1/2 years ago with a company that was NOT Wells Fargo only to have my note sold TO Wells Fargo 2 months later.

At that time, I made pretty good money and 2 of us worked so even though my payments were fairly high for what I got, I was thankful for a newer car. Unfortunately things happened and the good money I made along with the 2 incomes went down the tubes. We ended up moving to another state where we would have 2 incomes again.

The problems I have had with Wells Fargo have been too many to count. I would keep in touch with them and make payment arrangements. Of course, they would never accept 2 partial payments that would make a full payment in one month which was a pain in the butt but I did what I could. I never could talk to the same person every time I called if I found someone that I enjoyed dealing with and I find that consumers like to have that personal customer service!

When I would call and make a payment over the phone, they would tell me that if I got the next payment made that I could defer the final payment I owed that was past due. I busted my butt to catch up and with the payments made (2) caught up to having only 1 payment behind, they told me I couldn't defer it for it was already late. Now mind you, I would confirm every detail with them every time I spoke with them and no one could ever tell me the same story.

I finally got tired of dealing with these people for they never could get their stories straight, they were rude and I got tired of 20 phone calls a day. I made a payment on a Friday and my car was picked up the following Thursday, 1 week before Christmas. Two car payments later PLUS almost $400 in repo and storage fees, I got my car back and I owed them another car payment the next day. I couldn't make the payment due to all of the above and they did defer the payment - finally.

They don't take debit/credit card payments which is a pain in the butt. They don't have an online payment center where you can make payments. You either have to call them and make the payment via check over the phone OR do Western Union Quick Collect. Now that is a story. I called one evening and I guess spoke to a person in their Arizona facility. I asked where I needed to Quick Collect the payment to. He told me Sand, AZ and that was I all I needed.

I verified that SAND, AZ is where I needed to send the payment to and verified that several times. He said yes and I did what he told me to do. I sent the payment to SAND, AZ the next day. Guess what, they didn't get my payment. I got a call from Wells Fargo 2 days later asking where my payment was and I told them. Thank God I kept all my papers. They said it had not been received.

They finally found my payment 6 days later and posted it 1 day after that then told me I had sent it to the incorrect location. That it should have been sent to somewhere on the east coast and that it was Sands, AZ and not Sand, AZ. That I had screwed up. Told them I don't think so. I was told to send it to Sand, AZ by a person in AZ I guess.

This is long but Wells Fargo Financial - I would not recommend my worst enemy to them. Even the people who where contracted to Repo my car told me "if you can ever finance your car with someone else, do it. They heard nightmare stories all the time about how they would not work with you."
