Asap Motors ripoff

In 1st week of January. South Street Auto ordered a used transmission for 1989 Acura Legond. Recieved 1st. Transmission on January 10th. Transmission was wrong. Called & got a return shipping fax. From Asap. They did not pick up trnasmission until January 20th. We waited until Feburary 1st. To recieve the second transmission. We immediately same afternoon that trans was recieved raised trans off pallott to inspect unit - water ran out opf the trans??? We further inspected the trans and found a broken bolt on rear of trans. Also noted the rear plate on trans was cracked.

We immediately called Asap to inform them of the situation, being a repair shop & qualified trans repair facility we stated we could replace the plate & bolt from the original from the Acura. Talked to Clint. He said go ahead with that procedure. Upon removal of the plate, chunks & oieces from broken park pawl came out in our hands, this was not satisfactory, I immediately called & tried to talk to Clint once again.

Here is where it begins to go around & around. Whom ever answered the phone at that time tod me they would send a fax. Form for immediate pick up og the trans. We waited two days no fax form sent, recalled asked to speak to Clint, was told he was out, another person Terry asked if he could help? Told him the situation, he asked "havent you recieved a fax return form yet? I said no. He said he would get it sent out right away & the trans would be picked up within a doy or so. We waited -
no fax form sent.

After 2 weeks of this go around we called one more time talked to Scott, he asked what the problem was, so once again we told him our story, He said he couldnt believe we hadn't recieved a fax return form yet, so we waited on the line while he supposedly checked into it. Then another individual came on line asking the same questions. At that time we were informed that a 20% restock charge would be charged due to the length of time it had been since the forst wrong trans had been sent. And that since we had removed the trans rear plate we had violated our warranty and no credit would be issued. We were forced to go to another distributor and purchase another trans.

Customer had been out of his vehicle foe nearly 2 months at this time. We filed a stop payment request to our credit card company which took several letters & rebuttals from assap, finially the credit card company credited my account, noting that asap had not complied with helping us to help our customer. Asap never did send a fax for pick up of the trans.

I kept the trans for a yoar and a half. Just got rid of it to a scrapper in June.

Now Asap has filed a small claims court suit in Houstom District Court Harris County. Judge William V. Yeoman. Case No. Sc52c023006. Im a bit concerned that they can do that as I reside & do business in Colorado.??

Please fellow business owners extreem caution to be used when doing business with this company Asap Motors. They will get you or get to you. Causing you great discredit with your customers whos cars & trucks take so long to get fixed.

Sorry I ever did business with Asap Motors.
