Ripoff unsafe and unethical business practices

I purchased a motorcycle form this dealership on August 10. This motorcycle was purchased on credit with no money down. After taken delivery of it, I did not feel that it was safe to ride. Because of this I decided not to keep it and return it to their lot the same day. I informed a sales manager that I was not happy with it and felt it was unsafe. I also formed him that I was not interested in keeping it and wanted to be released from the financial obligation.

I felt that the delivery process of this vehicle was very poor and that it should have been inspected better before it was given to a customer. This motorcycle was not test driven before delivery. I know this for a fact, because just before I drove it off the lot, I was unable to get it in natural because the clutch pedal was not securely bolted to the frame. At that time I should have refused delivery, but I wanted to give the dealership the benefit of the doubt.

When driving it home I felt a strong vibration at speed in excess of 60 mph. There was also a loud clanking noise each time I shifted gears. When I got home I decided not to keep it and drove it back to the dealership that same evening. The next morning I contacted them and told that because of all this I did not want to keep this motorcycle. I felt that they had put my safety in jeopardy, and I was offended in how I was treated.

I made it clear that I had no intentions of paying on the note, and since it had been less then 24 hours since I sign the paperwork the financial process could easily be withdrawn. I was told OK by a sales manager and later that day I dropped off the keys, and owners manual. That same day I contacted American Honda Financial to inform them of this situation. However, since I was not in their system yet nothing could be documented.

Nothing was said to me until September 1 when I was contacted by the dealership and was told that they where going to deliver the motorcycle to my former residence. I informed them that I was not interested in keeping it for the same reasons I gave them 3 weeks ago. I Also reminded them that I informed them of this when there was plenty of time to withdraw the paperwork.
At this time I contacted American Honda Financial, and informed them of the situation. I also requested to have the voluntary repossession paper work sent to me in order to be released from the physical responsibility of ownership.

They may have the legal right to hold me to this financial obligation, but their practices are very unethical.instead of them just dealing with a set back from a dissatisfied and unhappy customer, they wanted to push the process through in order to make a sale. This in turn is going to hurt my credit becuase I refuse to pay for something that was delivered to me in such an unsafe condition.
