Ripoff when sold a 2002 ford explorer and had to put a trany and stopped in traffic with 10 year old dauhgter and could of got killed

Please help me i am a single mother of two and have been saving my money to buy a car and the car is a death trap for my daughter and i it has cost me money to have a rental so i could afford it the car has been in the garage twice and i have only had it since may 10. My friend and i went to talk to karman today 8-3-06 and he tru my friend out because she told him he should be responsible fot the truck he said no but i feel i am being totaly ripppped off he was supposed to put a new mirror on the passinger side and didnt even do that Lowell transmission is putting in another trans but they think there may be other things wrong please help me i dont have atot of money and i cant afford to keep fixing this car
