Brakemasters' Santa Monica store is in the wrong!
The sales/manager tried to sell me "Cerasmic" ($60) front brake pads as the manufacturers authorized replacement part for my 1991 Honda Civic with a healthy lifetime waranty. ($60) $458 in labor.
Where he went blatantly wrong was by assuming that I am a complete idiot where car maintenance is concerned.
Thankfully I don't carry my wheel lock key with me: or he might've pulled it off
*note*
Ceramic brake pads are extremely specialized parts used in formula race cars that drive for 24 hours at a stretch
Not on a compact economy car made in Japan in the 90's
Don't ever let the service guy sell you parts that you have no use for. Even a Ferrari or Lambroghini doesn't need ceramiic brake pads for city driving.
