Today I found out a towing company grabbed my car. But in the very same day. An employee from J&J Towing got out of his large truck behind some stores on 44th street in Sunrise, Florida.
He got outof his truck threw a full can of soda into the stream behind my condo and then urinated on the building! A real class act that J&J's is. Real dirtbags anyway! But I must write this since I also wrote to all my county and state reps.
WESTWAY Towing has contracts all over Broward county Florida. All these towns hire them and probably get a kickback in return.
Why do you let towing companies just rip us off like this? Does anyone care about people anymore? It seems like it's all about a buck. No more people. Just thieves who steal things and then hold our property hostage.
I am disabled already. Our condo gets damaged from hurricane Wilma. After the mold and mildew grows in the walls and the electric gets shutoff in Dec we are thrown out. We move into a Days Inn and live there for 3 months until we can get an apartment. Now, our car broke down and we had nothing. A family member helped us get a car. After 2 days it broke down. Fixed it but the family member gave us another car and we have to pay it off. So the other car sat under the garage at our old condo place for 5 months. I went there every week or two to start it.
Now I want to get it on the road and sell it for anything. I bring it to my new apartment. I park away from people and start it and drive around complex to keep it running. I still have the white tag on the window. But I get sick. With the flu. I already have liver disease and 6 failed back surgeries. I spend 2-3 weeks in my apartment sick. I go outside and my car is gone.
I call the property manager and find out where my car is. She said she didn't have it towed. I call WESTWAY TOWING where Wendy the PM says it might be. They tell me someone called and it will be $301 to get my car! THESE TOWING COMPANIES ARE SWINDLERS WHO HIJACK YOUR CARS AND HOLD IT HOSTAGE. They will put a lien on it and sell it.
I live on $397 a month. I am sick. I want someone to find out why they get away with it. How do they manage to get ALL the towing in the county? Who do they pay off? My car is my car! I did nothing wrong but these people steal my car and are holding it hostage! I have been wrongfully takin advantage of and I need some help
