Hyundai Motor America, Thomas Nissan Hyundai, Team Hyundai
They are liars, fixing things that dont need fixed, and im on my 3rd engine in which they want me to pay for Gary, Calumet City, Illinois

My mom bought me a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe in January. We got it off showroom floor. Everything was fine until July. The car cut off in the middle of the street. I had Roadside Assistance come pick it up and take it back where I bought it from. I bought it from Thomas Nissan Hyundai in Calumet City, Illinois. They took awhole month to fix my car, kept saying it was all these other problems until they finally admitted they hadn't even looked at the car.

I had to write corporate office just to get them to reimburse me for part of the rental. They didnt even pay all of it, even though it was covered under warranty.in the meantime, the car is falling apart, piece by piece, I'm paying to get it fixed, plus note, plus trying to pay for housing, food, daycare for 4 children.in November, car does the same thing again. Since I didn't like the attitudes at Thomas Nissan Hyundai, I asked if I could take it to a closer dealer, which was Team Hyundai, 9236 Indianapolis Blvd, Highland, Indiana. I went in there asked them to look at car because I did not know what was wrong with it. Heather and Andy said that they would run a diagnostic test on it.

My first estimate was $717.56, invoice date 1/03/06, paid on 1/10/06 when car was finished. That includes, timing belts, crankshafts, axles, and who knows what else, but of course and most importantly labor. My mileage was 76,836. I picked my car up and gave the m the loaner vehicle back. When I pulled off, I called right back and told Andy the car was driving hard. He said that's normal since the car hadnt been driving in almost 3 months. The very next day, car cuts off in middle of Broadway, could have killed someone. I call Hyundai Roadside assistance again. They towed car back to Team Hyundai again. I called Heather and asked had they looked at it, she said no. She would call me back. Andy called and said this estimate was 707.00. Im like what, I dont have money like that! That includes, new mass flow air sensors and oxygen sensors, gaskets nuts, exhausr, and of course and most importantly labor.

Now, I didn't drive the car a lot because of the way it drove while I had it. I turned it in 1/11/06, and got it back 1/18/06. When I picked it up, mileage is 76,995. Now I know I didnt drive 159 miles in the matter of 1 day. You wont believe they assured me it was in tip top shape, and the next day it cuts off again. I tow it in, now its the engine again. They need 2 years worth of oil change receipts, I give them all the ones I have. The district investigator comes and says, poor maintenance and that I would have to pay 6,400 for a new engine or 4,300 for rebuilt one.

I called a tow truck and took my car out of there and its been here ever since. Im struggling to pay the note and I still have no car to drive. Then they had the audacity to send me a letter telling me it was time for an oil change, knowing damn well the engine is gone out of my car. Right now, I have written letters to consumer affairs and they act like they own the place. I've been trying to get a receipt from Thomas Hyundai from JoAnn, which I asked for almost 2months ago and still havent heard from her. Im looking for an attorney to take my case, and I would like the maximum allowed for all the hell I have been through. If I could find a lawyer who doesn't need a lot of upfront, please help me by sending a rebuttal with information. Thanks, and beware of Hyundai, and buy a Honda. They last very long. I wouldn't drive a Hyundai, if it was free in a giveaway.
