My 2003 Sorento stopped running, I had it towed to Prebul Kia in Chattanooga, before they had performed any inspection on the vehicle that my warrenty was void, because I has not changed my timing belt at 60000K.
It then has it towed to another local repair shop who found the engine timing settings and belt both fine.
He then found the problem to be the engine mass air flow sensor and leak in the engine cooling resivore, which caused the engine to fill with fuel and cause damage to the spark plugs (Which Kia had to repair before and did) also the converters, He said I should take it back to kia since it was not the engine timing issues which I Did.
Prebul Kia agreed to look at the sorento and informed me the engine timing had Jumped and for 425 dollars they would do this repair and may fix the problem. They then supposedly done the repair and informed me it needed a NEW ENGINE at a cost of 6000 dollars, I declined
I then took it to another local Repair shop who found the same problems as the first repair shop and completed the nessary repairs on the engine that Prebul Kia claimed the engine could not be repaired
Also the repair shop informed me that with the problems the engine had, that Prebul Kia or any repair shop would know that repairing the engine timing would not fix the problem, this was a rip-off of 425 Dollars for which prebul Kia claimed to have done.
Also the Sorento needing a new engine was a lie. My Attorney is in contact with them at this time. They have ripped off others in chattanooga dont be next.
