My Husband & I had found Wheels Planet on the internet. We visited their shop during a holiday to Florida in January/06. We'd decided what wheels and tires would look nice on our 1978 Scout.
Henry was happy to help us choose the wheels that would be a perfect fit and within our price range - including S&H via USPS.
Henry had suggested we deposit the cash into his bank account that day. We felt this was too odd, then told him we'll send the money out when we'd gotten home. This was done via Fed Ex & a Bank Note in US Funds for $2,044.00.
We waited for word from Henry to confirm the cash had gotten there. We didn't receive any call. I'd called him and he'd confirmed getting the Bank Draft and was yet to send the merchandise out.
Since this call, Henry had avoided our phone calls. On occasion he or a coleague would answer the phone to report that they will "check into the situation" & get back to us. We have not received any phone calls there after.
I'd emailed Henry through his website to inform him that we will be persuing complaints about theft he'd commited. This email had generated a response 1x only to say he will find me a tracking number to follow up with - this was not sent out.
After checking with the Better Business Bureau of South West Florida, we'd found that there have been 26 complaints filed in the last 3 years about this company.
