Helllo, My name is Brian Kerr and back in 5/3/04 i brought my 1998 Plymouth Breeze to the AAMCO in Springfield, MA when the transmisstion broke. They performed a complete transmission rebuild to included a rebuilt torque converter, filter, fluid, front planet, rear planet, 2-4 cluch hub, Over Drive clutch hub, solenoid pack & rear ring gear. This cost me $1,884.25. I was convinced that this repair was needed and it would both run and work as new.
On 3/30/06 my transmission broke again and i called the AAMCO in Springfield, MA again. I was told the diagnose will cost me nothing and to bring it in. I had AAA tow the car in and now i am being told that the transmission needs to be completeley overhauled (rebuilt) again to include a torque converter and any and all parts needed to do it for a deep discount of $1,295. I am outraged about this.in only 22 months and 37,000 miles later this transmission would cost me a total of $3,179.25. I went to AAMCO in the first place because i thought this company advertises quality work and satisfaction guaranteed.
I feel i am being swindled at the springfield, MA location by poor quality work and horrible salesmen. I was also told that technology advanced so fast in 22 months for this model car. I called a plymouth dealership and was told that there was nothing new that was published on that style transmission for that vehicle in many years. I feel so betrayed by the work performed.
