I purchased a vehicle with Triad 3/17 down in Vallejo, CA. I always made prompt payments. Prior to our moving back up to Redding, CA I made my usual payment at a payment location, and made sure to let Triad know of our change of address. First the payment was lost, even though I still had the receipt, they refused to give me credit for my account. Plus they did not enter the address in correctly... Supposidly my fault. We kept getting harrassing phone calls at least 3 times a day at all times of day and night. I finally had enough money to do a secondary payment for the lost one plus my normal payment. They also dinged my credit. Plus when I made extra payments on my account, instead of giving me credit for the payments Triad made the payment go to interest. This did not happen once but twice, with the lost payments. The customer service agents were down right rude and threating to me and my husband.
Now I paid off my auto loan at the beginning of February and I have not received the title/pink slip of my vehicle. When I emailed Triad, they stated that it was mailed to a residental address. What is on record is not a residental address but my P.O. Box. This is due to theft of mail at the residence. My auto registration is at the P.O. Box as is all important mail.
When I contacted DMV they said that all title's are kept in a company safe and that it has already been mailed to me. According to DMV the only way I can get the pink is that since the original title has been mailed to the wrong address, is to get a letter from Triad stating that the vehicle is paid off and then I have to pay for a replacement title. That is completely morally wrong. Why should I have to pay for Triad's deliberate actions to a customer?
They can not say that it normally takes 1-2 months to get the title, because I received at 57 chevy from an estate about a week after paying off my vehicle, and I got the title to it before the end of February.
If there is a class action law suit against Triad Financial. I am all for it, and will gladly be involved.
