Triad Financial - Chase Receivables - Syncom - Mercantile Adjustment Bureau
Ripoff on already paid account, fraulent billing

My ex husband totaled our car we got financed through Triad in January and our insurance paid all but $1,402.19 of the amount owed to Triad. My ex husband was out of work for six months and I was left paying the bills solely trying to support him and four kids until he went back to work.

In January I received a call from Chase Receivables to collect what was owed to Triad Financial. We weren't completely on our feet so the guy offered me a settlement amount. I agreed to pay $905 and he told me he would call Triad and see if it was okay with them and he called me back within 45 minutes. I let Chase Receivables draft $905.00 out of my account which I have a copy of to pay Triad Financial as agreed in full.

In December of this year I got a letter from Syncom in Houston Tx regarding the account I had paid off with Chase Receivable for Triad. I called Syncom at 1-800-580-8615 and let them know I had paid the account off in full. I called Chase Receivables at 1-800-622-0484 to let them know I had gotten a letter from another collection agency regarding the account I paid to them for Triad and they told me Triad had received notice that the account was paid in full January when I paid it.

A month later Syncom sent me another letter, I called them again. They stopped sending me letters. A weeks ago the second week of March I received a call from Mercantile Adjustment Bureau on my job. Someone named Tammi left a message for me to call her at 1-877-230-8414 x8293.

I called back to see what it was about she was not available and a man named brian Richards told me it was regarding the Triad account. I let him know I had paid the account in full January. He started yelling at me over the phone telling me to pay my bills over and over continuously yelling over the phone at the end of his yelling he tells me he was going to pull up my credit report to see if I had paid my Triad bill and hung up on me. I hadn't given him permission to pull up anything. I called back to speak to a manager regarding how rude he was and was put on hold for 30 minutes.

I hung up and called back and was yelled at again and hung up on. After calling the third time I called back to get the address and after I was given the address the person on the other ends says to me "and you can mail your payment to Brian saying my name and hung up on me.

I called Triad and they told me they have no record of me paying my account. I pulled up my credit report and their account was back on my credit report. I called Chase Receivable back and they tell me there is nothing they can do the account is paid in full.

I have a receipt stating the account is paid in full and Triad told me they can not accept it. I have a copy of my bank statement where Chase Receivable drafted the money out of my account and Triad doesn't want a copy of it either.

I believe they are trying to get money out of me twice and they need to be stopped. I am more than willing to file a class action suit for unfair practice against Triad Financial. I have a lawyer responding to the harrasements from Mercantile Adjustment Bureau but I feel Triad is at fault.
