I was given, via e-mail, a price quote of $2000.00 off of the manufactures retail price by the 'Internet Manager' Xavier Haywood. When my wife and I showed up at the dealership (with a copy of the e-mail in hand) the floor sales manager would NOT honor the discount offered by HIS internet manager, Xavier Haywood.

We were told that he should have NEVER made that offer, and it was not any good. After we got the acting sales manager involved, We were told that they would 'meet us half way' and give us a $1000.00 discount, and that this was MY FAULT for 'misreading' the offer. It was 'Supposed' to state 'INCLUDING REBATE'.

At no time in the correspondance between Haywood and myself was the manufacturer rebate even brought up, just the 'discount' he was offering me to make up for a higher interest rate. My wife and I left the dealership, feeling lied to and completely misled. This practice is unacceptable, and misleading. Then I spoke to the GM of the dealership the next day, Bob Mullings, who in turn SUPPORTED his Internet salesman, saying I didn't understand how the car business works, and he has thousands of satisified customers out there.

I filed a complaint with the Houston chapter of the BBB, and the GM called me, again, to defend his dealership and his staff.
