Tire Center didn't balance tires correctly - 7 HOURS to fix problem

Let me preface by saying that prior to today, I personally have never had a bad experience with Walmart Cunstomer Service and I shop at Walmart at least once a week.

Monday, I went to Walmart to get my tires balanced and rotated. The next few days I noticed the car would start shaking at highway speeds. Not knowing much about cars, I thought that since I just the tires balanced and rotated, maybe it takes a few days to ride smoothly. My husband drove the van yesterday and told me that the tires were unbalanced and that I needed to take them back to Walmart very soon and have them balance the tires again.

I went in today and was told that I would have to wait in line and it would be 7 HOURS. When I explained my situation, a helpful employee tried to get the manager in the tire part to do my car sooner, since it was something they had done wrong that needed to be fixed. He still refused and told me it would be 7 hours.

Well, I drove 12 miles to Walmart to get those tires balanced and wasn't going to wait 7 hours or come back the next day, so I went to BJs down the street. 1-1/2 hours and $12 had the tires balanced. BJs told me the one tire was extremely out of balance and didn't even have a weight on it. BJs suggested I take my receipt to Walmart and asked for reimbursement.

I went straight back to Walmart and explained the situation. I was told to come inside and wait while they got the cash for my refund of $12. The employee then came back and asked if my refund was authorized. I said no, BJs had suggested I ask Walmart for a refund because my tires were really out of balance. The employee then had the manager come speak to me. He refused to pay the $12 because they had offered to fix it (if I waited 7 hours). He said there was no way his guy didn't put a weight on my wheel on Monday. Excuse me! The same guy put my car keys in the wrong vehicle after he finished; it took them 10 minutes to find my keys when the car was done! My aunt had her oil changed at a different local Walmart a few weeks ago; they forgot to put the cap back on her oil and they left a metal tool on her battery. Needless to say, her car didn't make it home! Walmart employees do make mistakes like everyone else!

The way the manager acted had me so upset that I was crying. I don't care about the $12, I just didn't like that they they wanted me to wait 7 hours to fix their mistake and when I found out how out of balance my tires were and asked for a refund, they acted like they were going to refund the money and then refused to. I did call 1800Walmart. The manager was a jerk!
