SHEEHAN - Salesman HAWAIIAN DON Ripoff -Fraud - Lying - Dishonesty

I did not want to have to do this, however, everyone should know how Fraudulent this company is.

#1 - As with a previous complaint, I am not a Disgruntled Boyfriend of someone who works there or in no way affiliated with any competitor of theirs.

This started because I received a letter from this company regarding buying back my car at 80% of the original MSRP dollar amount.

I went into the Dealership on Friday January 27.
That is where I met Hawaiian Don (Sales Consultant), henceforth know as Lying Don. I was going to trade in my 2003 Honda Accord LX for a 2006 Accord LX. While looking around, I saw the Honda CRV and though about purchasing one of those. At that time, Lying Don came up to me and started talking to me. He started telling me that everyone in his family drove a CRV. How convenient. We did some more talking and I asked him if I should come back January 31 as it was the last day of the month and if I would get a better deal at that time. He stated of course. I also asked him what was considered excessive mileage as I knew that they would deduct a certain amount off the trade in. He stated that 12,000 miles per year was normal. (I have 36,800 miles) Then he showed me a Tattoo on his wrist with a date on. He told me that was the date that he died (Clinically Dead) and was brought back to life. He stated because of this, he doesn't lie. (They should have left the Liar Dead).

So, I went back on January 31.
Lying Don took the keys to my car to get it appraised. We still did not discuss any prices for the new car.
I went to the lounge area and in 15 minutes, he called me into his office. There was another person with him (did not get his name).
1st he started that they were deducting $1500 for excessive mileage. I guess that they are charging $2 per mile as I stated previously that I was over by 800 miles. That should have been the sign to get out of there.

Here's the kicker. They told me that my car's Torque Converter needed immediate repair and that they were deducting another $4500 from the worth of my car. At that point, I asked for my key back and was going to get the hell out of there. As I was walking away, the 2 of them started with the scare tactics. You have to go right to our Service Department and get the problem fixed, Your car will break down immediately etc.

Of course I left and went right to my mechanic who advised me that nothing is wrong with my 3 year old Honda which is supposed to last over 200,000 miles.

So in conclusion, If you ever get one of these Fraudulent Letters from Sherwood Honda, your best bet is to throw it in the trash and go to any other Honda Dealer but Sherwood Honda in Delray Beach Florida. Definitely do not do business with the Clinically Dead Lying Don.

I will also pursue with the Better Business Bureau and maybe the District Attorney's Office will takes on the Fraud case.

I will wait to see what kind of lies that they will try to come up with to this truthful story.

Stay away from them
