I brought my daughter's 1999 Honda Civic to the service department of Riverside Honda to have her transmission flushed and refilled. When picking up the vehicle, I received the invoice (which was fair) and was shown a list of servicing/repair recommendations for the vehicle printed on the invoice.
Among the recommendations was "Adjust Rear Brakes." I asked the service rep if there wasn't some mistake since all brake shoes are self-adjusting for at least the last 20 years. He claimed they weren't self-adjusting.
When I got home, I checked my service manual, which of course shows that the brakes are self-adjusting. While I certainly didn't pay for any of their recommended repairs, I feel sorry for the person who pays for such "repairs."
