I purchased what was supposed to be my first automobile a 1994 isuzu trooper on 1/18/02. I was given a 3 month or 3,500 mile warranty. Before purchase, I complained of transmission slipping and was told that nothing was wrong with it, before driving off lot I noticed that passenger window would not work. I was then promised by both owner & manager that items would be taken care of and repaired. I arrived home only to find that within the next few hours there were at least 2 leaks in my driveway from this vehicle, and that none of the lights inside the truck worked.

I immediately contacted dealership and spoke to Andre, who then told me to bring vehicle back on my next scheduled off day and all would be fixed. I returned less than a week later and was given a loaner car for a couple of hours while my vehicle was being worked on by their mechanic. Upon pick up leaks appeared to be fixed but transmission was still slipping, I was told that the parts for my window and lights were on order.

I made several calls over the next couple of weeks and was always told that parts had not come in and to call back, and at that time both the window, lights and transmission would be fixed.

I noticed on 2/28/02 evening on the way home from work, the problem with the transmission had become worse. I then tried
to contact the dealership and was unsuccessful. I then realized that only way to try to resolve this issue was to take off early from work on 3/1/02 to return to the dealership, (Best Car Lot) so that I may address this problem personally. I was given the run around for several hours.

During this time period I observed some shocking ongoings within this company, potential buyers were coming in test driving vehicles and all coming back complaining about one thing or another with the vehicles. Some previous auto purchasers were coming in making "pic payments" in which i witnessed both the owner and manager split the amounts and then pocket the money. I questioned this matter and was told by Andre, who had allegedly befrinded me over the last couple of weeks, that this was just free money for them that didn't even apply to their car payments. These people were coming in paying $250 and up, and this was at least 7 different people that I had seen.

The issue with my vehicle was finally addressed only to be told to take it home and return monday. This I felt was not the right thing to do.instead I told the owner & manager that I felt that they had been doing nothing but giving me the run around on this issue and that I would be leaving the vehicle there with them. I was then promised that all repairs would be taken care of at no expense to me.

I arrived home and began to review my options. I later decided to choose a company that i could tust to work on my vehicle. The transmission repairs were taken care of underneath the warranty. The uncovered portion was $ 213.80, the dealership did not pay for the full amount as previously promised.instead the owner-Allen Tavakol gave me a written check, made out to me for $100 marked as gift and then stated that he would not be paying for any other repairs on this vehicle. That he did not have to do what he had done because he never put it in writing and gave me a copy of my buyers guide - highlighting, (in fine print) "spoken promises are difficult to enfore, all promises should be put in writing." I then replied that before I drove this vehicle off this lot and throughout the weeks you have been promising to do such. He then got a smug grin on his face and walked off.

My being a first time buyer and not knowing that I could not take the owner and manager at their word. As of now 3/23/02 my window, lights, & leaks have not been repaired as originally promised.

In conclusion I hope that all will beware "Best Car Lot" and know this is not the best place to purchase a problem free vehicle, even the loaner car had problems (engine light kept coming on)
