Good evening,

I am a very frustrated customer of Geico (11 years with them), and when my fiance and I moved 2 months ago, we did a post office mail forwarding (change of address) and with 6 other companies as well as our drivers licences with DMV. We never received anything about a policy cancellation nor have we ever been late on paying our bill each month $180 each month.

I contacted the customer support line and was told by both a representative and a Manager that it is my fault for not calling them. My fiance sent in May and June a slip that comes with each payment each month a change of address form. This was completed for 6 companies including Geico. We never received a geico cancellation notice in the mail, but the only letter we did receive states that our policy was cancelled on Aug. 24th and we owe $11.30 more even though the account is closed - we received this letter 2 weeks later on Sept 12th. On the envelope it says in yellow sticker from our post office "NOTIFIED SENDER OF CHANGE OF ADDRESS". I got this back from every other client I changed the address with.

I was told from a (GEICO employee - friend) that GEICO will not forward ANY mail to new addresses until the change of address is made and clarified. Go figure! I don't understand why I have to pay for the error from Geico when they never looked at the change of address forms we sent. I was told that geico shreds the forms and there is no proof. I now had to pay $360 to Geico
and $16 per day to DMV for 20 days for 2 cars. Why is this? This is ridiculous.

Please help us. I am contacting news stations tomorrow to see if they can bring up this sort thing on one of their programs so the public can see what sort of garbage is running these companies. I found out from a Geico employee (friend) that they have a huge client complaint list for change of address errors (along with plenty other complaints). The people deserve to know what they are doing.

Please Help! I spoke with an A. George and his Manager B. Todd who was instructing him on what to say. I have proof of all my change of addresses. They confirmed with me on the phone that my address was changed with DMV and post office - isnt that enough? This cost me $720 and I followed instructions
