I've been with Drive Financial Services, formerly First City Servicing since 2000. Since then, doing business with them has been a horrible experience for me. They've repossessed my car twice for being less than 30 days late.
On one repossession my things were stolen out of my car including my CD's, winter coat and they even left some cigarette ashes for me to clean up. My car was never towed, it was driven off by people who had keys to the car and to get it back I paid them $200, that doesn't even equal an entire payment.
Besides their bogus reposessions, they harrass on a regular, if you're a day late, they're calling 5 or more times a day even after you've spoken to someone. The customer service reps are rude. They only use last names. They refuse to give you any information about them.
When you request a supervisor, you never get one-it's always another rep claiming to be a supervisor. Now that I am almost done paying my car off. I have two payments left totalling $629 but they said because I was being charged $10 day that I was late out of the 54 payments I now owe $2500 but they would settle for $1825 and they would send me my title in 30-45 days after that amount was paid. However, no one wants to send me this in writing. I am scared to send them my money. But I want the title to my car.
The interest rate on a $9000 car was 28%. I ended up paying $17,000 for the vehicle and now that it's almost done, they want more money. I encourage everyone not to do business with this company. If anyone has suggestions about what I can do on this please reply.
