I took my pampered Executive Edition Lincoln Continental into Walmart to have the oil changed while I was shopping for groceries, figuring I would "kill two birds with one stone, " by getting my groceries while waiting on the car. Well, that is exactly what I did, not knowing that the second bird would actually be my car!
My garage keep, rarely driven, 1994 with only 43,000 miles is now my never driven, broke down in my front yard, bird poop collector!!!
I took it to a real auto shop 2 days after having the oil changed at Walmart because I noticed a funny noise coming from the engine. Come to find out they put in two extra quarts of oil in it! Wasn't that nice of them!
Well, to make a very long and sad story short, I have spent about $2,500.00 for the engine to be repaired and the knocking is still louder then a locomotive train! I finally raised my white flag of defeat and decided that it was not worth the headache or the money, and I bought a brand new car.
I am writing this complaint in hope that I can prevent this from happening to anyone else! do not have your oil changed at Walmart!!! They may have the cheapest prices in town but trust me, you will end up spending more in the long run.
