I bought a 2003 Ford Focus in February. Worst mistake I ever made, my dad always told me not to buy a Ford, but I didn't listen.
My problems started 2 weeks after I bought my car, it started to cut off on me, when I took it in to Town Square they said they couldn't get it to do it for them, so they did nothing to it. Couple weeks later it's still cutting off as I come to a stop, so I took it to the Ford place in Kings Mtn. The guy there told me that it was 2 quarts low on transmission fluid. It's a brand new car how can it be low on transmission fluid. He told me they probably let me drive it off the lot like that.
When I called Town Square and told them what Kings Mtn said, they didn't care. Couple months later my car begin to violently change gears (it's an automatic), when it would go into gear it would jerk. My dad rode with me one day, when it did it he thought we got rear ended because it jerked so hard. When I took it in to Town Square, again they drove it and said they couldn't get it to do it for them.
Long story short, I've had transmission fluid put in twice, PCV valve replaced, new spark plugs, and some other parts replaced on the transmission. I have all documentation of all the service performed on it. The car's transmission has been worked on 6 times in 1 1/2 years, yet Ford says it's not a lemon.in NC the lemon law states 4 unsuccessful attempts in 2 years on a new car. I believe I meet that standard.
I have called their STUPID Customer Relationship Line, can you say waste of time. I've called then 22 times, all they ever say is they apologize for the inconvience and will forward my message to the regional Ford Representative and they will contact me. HAHAHAHA, I never heard from anyone. I have emailed them, threatening to take them to court unless they take my car back and refund my money or give me a new car=nothing. I worked with the owner of Town Square for a while, Cornelius Willingham, pitiful display of an owner. He would tell me to find a car and he would get me in it, however, not on the Lemon Law stipulations. I'm not supposed to give anything out of pocket, it's supposed to be an even trade, they can't even run my credit again, it would be the same payment and everything.
He wants to run my credit again, wants money down, blah, blah, blah. What it is, I owe approx. $10,000 on my car, but it's only worth about $5,000. If he took my car back he would loose money and he doesn't want to swallow that.
I just want everyone to know that FORD SUCKS!!!
Everything aobut them sucks. They say their number one priority is customer satisfaction, well thid customer is not satisfied nor have I ever been satisfied with them, but they could care less, they already have my money.
Do not buy a Ford, do not even buy a car off a Ford Dealership lot, even if it's a Toyota. I will not ever give Ford 1 cent of my money again. I work in a major hospital and I have assured Ford that I will let every patient that I come across not to buy a Ford and to stay away from them.
I have emailed the media around town, called several attorneys, emailed the CEO of Ford, no one will help me.
If anyone would like further information on my complaint, such as times, dates, names, service reprots, copies of the emails, etc; please email me and I can get a little more detailed about my situation. Also, if you have had a similar experience with a new Focus (I've read some of your reports about 2000 Focus, but nothing newer than that), please feel free to contact me. I have a WHOLE lot more to tell.
By the way, if I haven't already said: FORD SUCKS!!!
