Backus Motors took in my F350 to check the transmission the fluid. The fluid was low and the mechanic added regular transmission fluid instead of the synthetic fluid which the transmission had contained.
When I brought it to the attention of the Service Manager he stated that the mechanic should have known it was synthetic since Backus originally serviced the transmission and added the synthetic fluid.
The service manager said he would correct the problem, by draining the fuild and replacing it with the synthetic.
I later recieved a phone call stating they would not be replacing the fluid for free and that it would not hurt the transmission to mix the two fluids. Therefore I had to pay for a service because the transmission was due to be serviced anyway.
