I bought a car from this man almost two and a half months ago well when I test drove this car I realized that the front end shook uncontrollably and I smelled antifreeze. We pull the car back into the lot and we let him know about it, when we popped the hood the radiator was spewing antifreeze everywhere! But Spanky could not tell us about the shake in the front end, so we told him we liked the car. He told us the price $1162.00 that included all taxes FINE! We gave him the money right then and there and also paid for a new radiator to put in.
Well four days later I called him up at 11:00 am and asked him about my car he said that it would be done soon call back at 2:00 so I waited till two and called him back when I finally got him on the phone he told me that the car was running fine and that he had to go otu to do a job to meet him at his shop at 3:00. Fine my kids were growing impatient 3:00 finally arrived and I got over to my car and did the paper work and picked it up well on my way home I noticed that the wobble had gotten worse and it was making this metal grinding noise. I drove it anyways like an idiot my first car! I went to pick up my husband in poughkeepsie with my kids in the car and i smelled antifreeze again and the noise in the front end was getting louder. I picked up my husband and we drove home to port jervis well on the highway at about 65 mph. My car started to shake profusely! I was scared the wheel was going to fall of with my family in this car. So we did 50 mph. The rest of the way home.
We made it home alright (thank god). The next morning I called up Spanky and told him the situation We had also realized that the brake lines were leaking. Spanky told me to bring the car in the next time i was in the area. I just so happened to be going up the next day so I called him and he told me to drop the car off around 4:00 so I did my friend picked me and my kids up about an hour and half later Spanky called me and told me the car was done. I went and picked it up! He changed the tires and told me he was not sure about the wobble he wanted to send it to his front end guy to fix it, and that the brake line there was a very small leak hole but the car would be fine.
I have to drive my kids around I told him but OH WELL is basically what I got. Well here I was again afraid to drive my car with or without my kids. So here we go again bring my car to another shop the next day they found the problem (or some of it!) it was the front right axle so I bought a new one $65.00 later my car is still wobbling but not as bad so my husband was driving it from port jervis to work in poughkeepsie and he broke down the water pump and the serpetine belt went so he was stuck on the side of 84 (without me or my kids thank god). We had to have the car towed off of 84 and 75.00 later we are still without a car and really no means of transportation.
I have been in contact with Spanky and he has my car at his shop so I told him I want another car or my 1222.00 back and he has been avoiding me for three weeks so I am letting you people know never ever buy from this man I will be taking him to court soon.
