Shepherd Suzuki
AKA Shepherd Daewoo Deception fraud parts theft RIPOFF

I had my 2001 Daewoo Leganza towed to this dealership because it was overheating and the water pump started to make a slight noise. They said it was to go under warranty. I had to leave it overnight. They said it would be ready by 5pm the next day.

It was ready by 11am the next morning. They said it had a bad water pump and thermostat. Also that they replaced the timing belt while they had it open doing the water pump.

The service man told me that my power steering pump was making a slight noise, but that it was not covered under the warranty. I was told that it was working fine, it just had a "little" noise. I was told to put an additive in it and it would be fine. I told him that I had never had any trouble with the power steering.

When we tried to drive the car out of the lot, there was NO power steering. We drove straight to the auto parts store to buy the additive. When we opened the hood, there was NO fluid in the holding tank for power steering. We had to spend $10.00 on additive and additional fluid to fill it up.

It was making a VERY loud knocking noise, but we had power steering back. We drove it home. I called the dealership back and asked them if they had to remove the power steering pump or empty the tank. They told me that they NEVER came anywhere near those parts. That they NEVER touched them at all. I also told him that it did NOT make this noise before I had it towed there. He told me, "Yes it was".

I had a mechanic look under my hood. I showed him the new part on my car and told him what they said and what my car was doing. He told me, "That's NOT your water pump. That is your power steering pump".

We drove it about 1 mile then back home again only to find the holding tank for the fluid empty again.

What this company has done, is stolen my perfect working power steering pump and replaced it with a junk part. Then to make matters worse, they cross threaded the tube that the fluid goes through, causing it to spew the power steering fluid all over the inside of my motor once pressure builds up. My original power steering pump was steel with slight rusting. The part they put in there is painted black. It is a VERY obvious change.
