I purchased a Toyota Camery for my son at Majestic Auto Sales in San Diego. I told the owner that I was looking for airbags number one... A safe reliable car. I admit I was in a hurry and didn't do my homework. After owning the car about a month the paint started wearing off to reveal bondo underneath from a head on, front end accident. They used some type of temporary paint to cover the bondo to sell the car. I have never heard or seen anything like this so I have a hard time explaining it.
When I purchased the vehicle we went through all the paperwork before I found out it had a salvage title. I should have backed out then but the Majestic owner explained it wasn't in an accident, vehicles have salvage titles for a number of reasons blah blah blah. So I took my chances. BAD DECISION ON MY PART, please don't reply that I'm an idiot, I admit in this one situation I was. The car was in a serious accident at one time and in fact the airbags had deployed at some point and now are not functioning!!! I told the man this car was for my 18 year old and airbags are a top priority... Even after hearing this he sold me the car. I admit I was stupid in this deal, I had to get a car for my son right away and so I jumped without really researching the car. I do want others to beware of this dealer because you do not want to do business with a dealer like this!
