Power Automotive Group Non - cooperative, damaged vehicle, liars, service advisors do not take responsiblity, body shop they outsource to does questionable work

My 2000 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 was taken to Power Chevrolet for rusted sheet metal around the factory installed, rear, sliding window. The GM factory warranty covered the damage, inlcuding replacement of interior carpet that sustained water damage. Power Chevrolet took possession of my vehicle on Nov 16 and outsourced the work to a local body shop, Y & S Auto Body Shop. The body shop removed the top of my truck & replaced it, also replacing the rear window.

The body shop failed to remove, or properly cover the interior of my vehicle.in failing to do so, the interior of my vehicle was splattered with paint, and flash welding burn marks. The damage was primarily to the front of the vehicle on leather seats, dashboard, center console, & carpet retainer on front driver's side.in addition there was damage to the exterior of my vehicle; missing LS sticker on passenger side, scrathes on driver's side on top of fresh paint, primer fingerprints on exterior of vehicle, and missing rubber inserts from the gas filler door.

Upon inital inspection of the truck I refused to take delivery from Power Chevrolet becaue they failed to replace damaged carpet and the service advisor, Greg Hatz, lied to me saying that GM refused to replace the carpet. Greg Hatz also attempted to return the vehicle to me with the damaged interior, and interior that had not been cleaned. The interior was full of metal shavings & dust.

The truck was bounced back and forth between Power Chevrolet and Y & S Auto Body Shop for more than 8 weeks. I finally took delivery of my vehicle on Jan 13.initially, the truck appeared to be competely repaired. However, while driving home we noticed several things that were still not correct & some things that just seemed odd.

There are still two spots of paint on the passenger side dashboard, the plastic piece that encases the instrument panel is broken on the bottom left corner, & the driver's side sun visor is not installed properly. And oddly, the gas tank was empty. I filled the gas tank up on Nov 15 and drove 110 miles on the fill up prior to dropping the vehicle at Power Chevrolet (I reset the trip odometer with every fill up & have my receipt for $48.63) The mileage on my trip odometer was 184.1 and my gas tank was empty. The actual mileage was only increased by 74 miles.

My husband & I called Greg Hatz immediately upon discovering the damage. We left a message on the evening of Jan 13 & after getting no response left another message on Jan 14. I called again after my husband left the second message & Greg Hatz spoke to me briefly & said he receieved our message but would call me back.

Greg Hatz called me back later on the afternoon of Jan 14 and basically said that he received our messages & he doesn't remember seeing the damage that I have described and refuses to fix or acknowledge that Power Chevrolet is responsible for the damage. He also stated that Y & S Auto Body denies responsibility for above stated damage. I have contacted our customer service manager at GM customer service & am waiting for the problem to be resolved. GM customer service was involved in the entire process of fixing this vehicle. Power Chevrolet only assumed responsibility for any damages after we contacted GM. They also only agreed to do warranty work on the vehicle after we contacted GM and GM sent a representative to inspect our vehicle.
