Rented a travel trailer from Sahara RV in December to go to Missouri and back. Very reasonable rate, $50 a day, paid up front, including a $50 "setup" charge.
First day, everything fine, had a great time.
Second night, middle of Colorado, no trailer heat, 11:00 at night, battery wouldn't keep a charge. Figured I'd tough it out, go to Missouri.
Third day, terrible, terrible noise from right trailer wheel, sounded like bearing or brakes locking up, caging, then uncageing. Gave up, came straight home through the southern route.
I cleaned the trailer exterior with my pressure washer.interior with my shopvac and carpet machine. Looked better than when I got it. The lot guy was great, I demonstrated the noise problem when I returned the trailer. Explained the heater/battery problem. It was a Sunday, managers not available.
Monday, called them. They were relentless. I had agreed to pay for the days that I HAD the trailer, but couldn't care less about the extra days EVEN AFTER I HAD TURNED IT BACK IN. Told me I should have called them, despite 11:00 at night. They would have given me a 'credit card number' for repairs.
Well, that's all well and good. Things happen. But it was the middle of the night, and damn me all to hell, we were cold. Nothing could have been fixed at that time ANYWAY. I enjoyed the trailer for the time I had it. But really, is this anyway to treat someone? I really should have kept the trailer setting in my yard for the days I PAID for it, just to spite them.
This is senseless logic. Just refund my money for the unused days. I had PROBLEMS with your older, well-rented out and used trailer.
