I am looking for a pre-owned BMW. I saw on Auto Trader.com that this dealer had a 2001 330i with 39k miles listed for $16,995. I called and verified the price and availability with a Donald Steele. I proceeded to the dealership and met with a Salesman named Daniel and once again verified the price and test drove the car.
I decided to purchase the car and walked inside to complete the paperwork. It was at this point that a Sales Manager came over and told me that the price on the internet was wrong. I tried to explain that not only was it on the auto trader web site but also on cars.com and their own web page for that price and that I had called and verified before driving over to the dealership. This manager refused to honor the price as advertised so I left.
Please do not let this happen to someone else.
