1998 Ford windstar rearend recall

I took my windstar in for recall. I was ask how many miles per day it was driven, I answered varies we are retired and drive it perhaps once a week to doctor or store. We were told our rearend was good and were sent home, both my son and daughter with similar vehicles had them replaced, My windstar now viberates and has cupping of the rear tires and was told by the tire company that my rearend is bad??? These were new tires on the car and have never been rotated. I feel I am now the proud ownership of a junk vehicle
