2001 Windstar Axle car Recall - Cracked rear axel

On September 23, I took my wife's 2001 Windstar to Rizza Ford in North Riverside, Il where it was determined the rear axle had a crack. The dealership took in the van and provided us with a rental. We later received a letter from Ford indicating that repairs would start during the 1st quarter 0f 2011. On December 8, we looked to purchase a 2011 Escape XLT from Rizza. Rizza did not have buy back info on the Windstar so I contacted your Customer Relationship Center on December 9. I was informed that the Windstar did not qualify for the buy back since it was a 2001 model. I called Rizza back and asked what the trade in value of the Windstar would be.in response by the general manager I was appauld-no, insulted, because of no fault on our part that the axle is cracked - we would only receive seven-hundred dollars ($700) in trade in value. We were hoping to receive between $3000-$4000. Because of this, we will now wait until the axle is repaired and then trade it in to purchase a new vehicle.
