AAMCO Ripoff Went Into Aamco With Transmission Problems Two Months After Those Snakes Touched My Car I Still Broke Down On Interstate 95 With Transmission Problems

After having one company do the wrong work on my car I regretably got Aamco transmission's name from the yellow pages. When I called there Cary answered the phone so I told him that my transmission was leaking.

At first he seemed really interested in helping me but, I should of realized they were up to no good when he first asked me if I was a college student. I know he knew that I was a young female by my voice, but why did he need to know if I was a college student. He was also pressing the issue about where my car was at and that I should bring my car in there right away.

It was a very pressuring tone. Me being a naive female I didn't realize how mechanics work, to which I have learned the hard way. Anyway he gives me these estimates to which he gives me a hope that it could be fairly inexpensive to what other people were trying to charge me. He told me it could cost anywhere from $600 to $800 to reseal my transmission. I am very broke so that was a relief to what was going to be $1000 if I took it somewhere else. He told me he would have to do a diagnostic and he would get back to me. He did, and told me this bull crap that my fluid's burnt out and that a reseal wouldn't work and that it was going to cost me $1800 to fix.

Please imagine how I felt. I could now way in hell afford this. My Grandfather ended up coming down from Philadelphia because he know Cary was trying to rip me off. He then miracuosly talked us down to $1500. Still saddened I knew this guy had us by the balls because if I didn't get the work done I would have to pay for them taking my transmission apart, towing, and labor. He told me that if I was to just get a reseal my transmission would just go out a few months later.

I agreed to get the work done and I had the work done on 9/21/04, and my transmission failed 11/29/04. TWO MONTHS LATER!!! The terrible thing was that I was on my way back to school in Maryland and I was on interstate 95 and my tranny failed so I was stuck on the side of the highway for hours by myself. I was terrified, and it's all because of those snakes. I told Aamco and they picked my vehicle up.

I keep on calling Cary and he says they haven't got a chance to look at my car. He told me he would call me back about 10 times already and he has yet to call me back. I need some answers to what is wrong with my car. I am unable to work or get around because of this. He replaced my clutches, rear planetary and my fluids and for $1500 and he has the nerve to tell my this problem may not be under my warranty.

As far as I am concerned they worked on my transmission and it failed in two months so it is their responsibility. I feel so taken advantage of and deceived. The real side of this man is coming through everyday he won't return my phone calls and makes up excuse after excuse about what is going on.

If anyone has any information about my rights in this situation please let me know. My warranty should cover anything if I pay $1500 and my transmission goes in two months. I have contacted the Attorney generals office, the news stations, the headquarter Aamco, and the BBB. If necessary I will be getting a lawyer because this just isn't right. This company does need to be stopped and I am going to do whatever I can to make it happen.

For anyone who is planning to bring their car there please don't. Learn from my mistake. I failed to do research on the company and if I had of found info like this I would have never brought my car there. The company if located at 5701 Pulaski Hwy, Baltimore, MD and I recently found out that they even have a unsatisfactory with the BBB so make sure you look that up.
