Rip-off for Gas? Rented a car at the airport. Counter Clerk suggested I return the car with the gas tank full. Just prior to returning the the car I filled the gas tank up 8 miles from the Airport and even topped it off (added a little extra) to account for the 8 mile drive on the highway. Arrived home and saw an unexplained charge of approximately $40. Called customer service and the Rep said the charge was for 4 gallons of gas. WTH? I explained that this was impossible since I filled the tank just prior to drop off. He gave me a credit quickly. Did budget try to Rip me off? Or
Was it an honest mistake? I am very suspicious. Please report your findings!
