On Nov 10. I returned a Tahoe to the Denver airport Hertz location. Prior to return, I filled the gas tank and topped it off until no more gas could be added. The Hertz location was less than 1/4 mile from the gas station. When we got to Hertz, the return lanes were down-hill. That caused the gas gauge to register less that full. I told the attendant that I had filled the tank, but unfortunately I didn't get a receipt. He said too bad and charged me for 3 gallons at $9.78 for a total of $31.79.
As a Gold Club member, I have been a loyal business and personal customer for years. I was very disappointed that Hertz would treat me or any customer. I filled out a customer complaint/survey and received no response. I will be using a different car rental company in the future and will always get a gas receipt when filling up before returning the vehicle.
