I purchased a spinning rod from Sportco online. On Nov 26 at 1pm aprox. Two fedex employees one in training, delivered a heavy duty round corrugated shipping container to my front door, which i accepted from the trainee. Shortly, after driving off i received two emails from fedex one stating that the item was picked up and a second saying a 2.7lbs. Item was delivered.
There was no such item weighing 2,7lbs given to me on 11/26 2012 at 1pm, since the spinning rod was missing/removed and the container open before i received it. The trainee also looked uneasy when he handed me the container but I believed since
i never had problems with fedex in 23yrs there was nothoing to worry about, Oh was i in for a surprise? The container had been open at one end by someone and spinning rod was gone. I got a 80.00 aprx. Cardbord shipping container from Sportco.

I then emailed Sportco and was told to file a claim with Fedex. Fedex tells me i need to get a release form from Sportco and they can't proceed any further until they receive a Sportco company letterhead which releases Fedex from being sued by Sportco. I get the impression Sportco is surprise by this request after speaking with them on 12/11. They sportco tells me they have been trying to contact Fedex, Clara Parker who not around or not answering calls. I have contacted chase credit card folks and proceeding to better business and other forums to file consumer complaint.
