Dear McDonald%u2019s Customer Service, This morning at approximately 7:50 am your employee, Liz, at your 3157 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek Ohio said to me, in front of at least five of your employees and two or three customers:
U201CI don%u2019t need your hypocritical crap, %u201D and %u201CI%u2019m training to be a nurse and I hope I get you as a patient someday.%u201D
Liz had studiously avoided serving and/or speaking to me for some weeks but three days ago when I whispered to Rick %u201CLiz is avoiding me, %u201D Liz heard me and went over the top the next three days with sarcasm: %u201COh it%u2019s so great to see you Terry. Can I get you a napkin Terry. Do you need cream in your coffee Terry.%u201D
While I would prefer to be addressed as Pastor McLean, after three days of Liz%u2019 sarcasm I thought I would attempt to take this as an opportunity to turn things in a positive direction, and so this morning I gave her a signed copy of one of the seven books I have written. That set her off, and in my more than 20 years Pastoring I can report to you that I have seldom seen a person with such deep and abiding anger issues as Liz then displayed.
After throwing my book into the trash and calling what I had written %u201Chypocritical crap%u201D he told me about how successful she is, how she owns her own home, and how she owns three cars. A psychologist might make sense of why she gave me that information, but what I think I was hearing is somewhere between anger and anguish.
Then she told me she is studying to be a nurse and that she hoped she would get me as a patient someday. That I understood to be a hate-filled threat: and you have Liz serving food, which is a scary thing to consider.
Not only should you protect your interests and liability in this situation, Liz school should be informed of Liz threats to her potential patients.
Oftentimes, when people are alienated from God/Jesus Christ/Church/etc. They take it out on the Pastor and my opinion would be that Liz is such a person. When she overheard me say to Rick that she is avoiding me, while true, it set her off. For the next three days her ridiculous display of patronizing sarcasm was sad to see but when I tried to turn it into a positive by giving her my book, that made it far worse, and it exposed her hate-filled anger issues.
Our concern here is for Liz' evaluation, intervention and future wellbeing.
Pastor Terence D. McLean
