Last week me and my wife decided to use a Steak Escape coupon from our "Enjoy the City" coupon booklet that we'd purchased a month earlier. The coupon was good for one free sandwich with the purchase of a sandwich of equal or lessor value and the coupon could only be used at the 7948 Winchester Rd. Ste. 103 location, so that's where we went.
We walked into the establishment, placed our order and proceeded to hand the coupon the cashier. The cashier refused to take the coupon and said read the poster board. To our surprise there was this huge poster in front of the register which had pictures of 3 different coupons attached, 2 of which were Entertainment and Enjoy the City, as well a statement which read;"We do not accept these coupons, we did not purchase them, we were placed in these particular coupon books without our approval, so we do not honor these buy one get one free coupons, but we will give you $4.00 off of any large sandwich if you have one of these coupons".
Obviously, the owner of this particular location is trying to boost his revenue by using the coupon booklets to solicite business but doesn't want to uphold his end of the bargain by fully honoring the coupon. After me, my wife, and several other customers began to complain the owner told us that if we continued to discuss the coupon he would refuse us service!!! We left the establishment and called Entertainment and Enjoy the City and both company's told me that the Steak Escape located 7948 Winchester Set. 103 is definitely a merchant and should fully honor the coupons.
So please be aware!!!
